Boss Cut

Bi-metal blades from China for high-consumption cutting. When a shop is running mild steel round the clock, cost per cut decides the blade — and paying for cut quality nobody is measuring is just a worse invoice.

Where it belongs

The right blade
is not always the best blade

We carry two blade tiers on purpose. Not so we can discount, but so the recommendation fits the job rather than the margin.

Use Boss Cut when

You are cutting mild or carbon steel in volume, the surface gets machined afterwards anyway, and blade spend is a line on the P&L you actually look at.

Use Arntz when

Cut finish matters, the material is stainless or harder, sections are large, or a blade change costs you more in stopped production than the blade costs to buy.

How to decide

Put your own figures into the cost per cut calculator on the home page. If it says Boss Cut wins, buy Boss Cut. We will tell you the same thing on the phone.

Run the numbers before you decide

Blade price is the number on the invoice. Cost per cut is the number you actually pay — blade, blade life, and the time the machine stands still while somebody changes it. Put your own figures in and see which tier wins on your work.
